  A Taste of Japan 

  Japanese whiskies are becoming increasingly popular. Modeled after scotch whisky making, double distilled, malted grains, aged in wood, Japanese distilleries are adding to the whisky world a style of their own. “Whisky Beth Havers” takes us on a journey to discover what is behind all the excitement of Japanese whisky.

Several companies produce whisky in Japan. The two best-known are Suntory and Nikka

 Discover the whisky regions of Scotland 


 A wonderful virtual whisky tasting fundraiser, sponsored by The Academy of Single Malt Whisky Explorers and in collaboration with John (The Canadian Scotsman) MacPherson, Scotch Specialist for PMA Canada. 


John, the ever passionate and entertaining Whisky Ambassador provided an informative virtual tasting event to “Discover the whisky regions of Scotland”. All proceeds from this event were donated to the Guelph Royal City Lions Club.

There are five Scotch whisky distilling regions - Campbeltown, Highland, Islay, Lowland and Speyside

Tullibardine 1488 

Gateway to the Highlands 


The History of Tullibardine as a location for brewing and distilling is one of the oldest in Scotland, dating back to the 15th century!  


The Single Malt Whisky Explorers had the pleasure of sharing drams with Ana Carreno, International Sales Manager for Tullibardine Distillery.  


Ana shared with us the history and stories of this majestic distillery, right from her location in Scotland.  Watch as Ana guides us through the tasting of five delicious drams.

A Six Generations, One Family!

2021 is the year we celebrate 185 years of legal distilling at Glenfarclas, a Speyside distillery with six generations of independent ownership.  


We welcome whisky historian Mike Brisebois, to lead us in this virtual single malt whisky tasting.  Watch as Mike enthusiastically provides us with the history of this distillery and guides us through the tasting of five delicious expressions, including the Glenfarclas 185th anniversary limited edition single malt whisky.

A Taste of Islay

Islay is a magnificent island off the Hebridean coast line of Scotland and the Kilchoman distillery is a special place where barley is grown, harvested, malted, fermented, distilled, matured and bottled, all is one location.


In this video we connect directly with James Wills, member of this family owned and run farm distillery. James takes us on a journey of the distillery, the whisky making process and guides us through the tasting of six unique and award winning single malts.

WHISKY AT HOME

A virtual whisky tasting with Claire Freel, Whisk(e)y Portfolio Consultant for Corby Spirit and Wine.  

 

Claire shared the history and stories about Aberlour and The Glenlivet distilleries.

Six expressions were featured: The Glenlivet 15 and 21, The Glenlivet Caribbean Reserve, Aberlour 12 and 18, Aberlour A'bunadh batch 69.
